How to light a candle
This is how visitors see the candles
Every memorial and place has a candle bar. It shows the names and messages of those who lit a candle in the last 24 hours, one after another.
Where you can light a candle
Dignified messages
You choose the message from a prepared list, so every grave keeps a calm and dignified atmosphere. For notable people and war memorials the messages are respectful rather than personal.

Who will see the candle
- Everyone who opens the memorial or place sees the candle and the message – on the website and in the app.
- Your name is optional, you can light a candle anonymously. Inappropriate names are caught by an automatic check before payment.
- The memorial's owner gets a notification in the app. They can hide the name next to a candle or turn candles off on their memorial completely.
- After a year the name next to the candle is deleted automatically. The number of candles lit at the memorial remains.
