How the QR plaque is installed
3M VHB 4991B adhesive – applied in advance
The glass plaque comes with high-quality 3M VHB 4991B adhesive already applied. Just degrease the surface of the headstone with isopropyl alcohol, place the plaque and press it on. No tools and no stonemason are needed. Full strength is reached after 24 hours. The adhesive bonds to smooth, solid surfaces – glass, marble and granite.
Installation procedure
- Degrease the surface of the stone with isopropyl alcohol
- Wait until the surface is completely dry
- Peel the protective film off the adhesive
- Place the plaque in position and press firmly
- Wait 24 hours for full strength to develop
On rougher or porous surfaces, the surface has to be cleaned thoroughly and primed before installation – see the procedure in the questions section below.

If it is damaged, a replacement plaque can be ordered. The memorial URL stays the same – both the memorial and the QR code are unchanged, you only replace the physical plaque.
