About the Stopy v srdci project
I am sitting on a bench by my grandparents' grave. Autumn leaves settle quietly on the polished granite headstone. I read the names and the years. 1921–2005. A whole life is hidden in that span. Memories of childhood at my grandmother's, of my grandfather's stories from his army days, of the smell of pastries and the creak of the wicker chair on the veranda. How much was left unsaid? How many stories were never passed on to the next generations? How much do I not remember, and how much will I myself forget?
Out of these thoughts the Stopy v srdci project was born – a unique remembrance portal that grew from the conviction that every life deserves to be remembered with respect and dignity, even in today's digital age.
