Looking for where a relative is buried?
Are you looking for a particular person who has died? Try our interactive map first – you can search by name, date of death or location, but only within the memorials that are part of our database. The number of memorials is growing steadily and the chance of finding someone is increasing.
If the person you are looking for is not in our database, we recommend:
- Registry offices – the national registry portal (czechpoint.cz) for historical records
- Genealogical databases – MyHeritage, Ancestry and Rodokmen.cz
- Municipal and parish archives – especially for records more than 100 years old
- Regional state archives – for more recent records from the first half of the 20th century
- Stopy v srdci – digital memorials linked to a particular cemetery

The GPS coordinates are accurate to within a few metres. They allow direct navigation to the cemetery gate or to a particular spot at a larger cemetery.
